Bluetooth Disappeared Windows 8
I have a windows 8.1 laptop. A toshiba Satellite C55D-A-15H and my only currently functional pair of headphones are a pair of wireless bluetooth over ear ones. How to cancel shutdown. These, obviously can only function if bluetooth is activated, but for some reason in my PC settings the wireless, alongside bluetooth tabs have disappeared. I did not restart, update or anything similar.
They simply vanished into thin air. Now maybe my coffee fueled sleep deprived brain is missing the obvious, but this is ridiculous. I have gone through every tab in every setting and nothing has come up. What should I do?
Bluetooth Disappeared Windows 8.1
Am I missing something blatant? I have ran mmsys.cpl and checked if my headphones connect, as when I turn them on the bluetooth connected sound rings in my ear, but they do not show up.Edit: This is all I get when I follow bluetooth settings in searchedit 2: I solved this solution by running services.msc and setting bluetooth support service as automatic.
When Bluetooth is activated in a Windows 7, 8, 8.1 or 10 computer, Windows places a Bluetooth icon in the System Tray—the collection of easily accessible icons near the clock. It will either appear on the task bar or can be accessed by clicking the upward pointing triangle. RE: Windows 8.1 Bluetooth Not Working. Press Fn and F2 or toggle the wireless switch on and off. If that doesn't do anything. Power down your Dell and when powering it up press F2. Enter the BIOS setup and disable Bluetooth (or change what the wifi button does). Let Windows load and give it a few minutes. Power down the system and then re-enable the Bluetooth in the BIOS setup.
