Summer Solstice:As Sobieski said, in chapter one it's in the swamp area beyond the troll. This is where the bandits' hideout is, and if you've done the Troll quest, decided to help the Troll, and defeated Dimitri then you have the key to this hideout, which contains useful items and a very good sword. To get the Summer Solstice achievement, when standing right at the entrance to the bandits' hideout (before crossing their fence, facing their hut), turn right and you'll find in the corner a small shrine and a body nearby. Activate the shrine to get the ability and upgrade to Fire Quen.Winter Solstice:On Iorveth's path, at the very beginning of chapter 3, just before jumping with Iorveth into Loc Muinne, there's a path on the right leading upwards. At the top of the path there's a shrine to get the achievement and upgrade to Freeze Aard.

Please log in to vote.At the beginning of chapter 2 when you have chosen Roche's side, and only then, you will get to the camp at the main questline, now the witcher wants to speak with the king but first you have to follow Zyvik, a guard who will guide you around the camp.
